Meeting Minutes for

Wednesday, October 10, 2007

Members in attendance:  Chairman: David A. Martin (DM), Shirley A. Schofield (SS),

        Gordon Hughes (GH), Susan Rich (SR)

Meeting began at 7:40 pm

• Review of past meeting minutes with changes noted for 8/16, 8/30, 9/12/07.

GH made motion to approve as changed, SS seconded and Approved.

1.) Grant, revised

• Received four (4) new proposals from firms interested in doing our research and inventory.
• SR was to look into the due date and confirm with MHC
• General discussion was that each proposal be reviewed and compared against the RFP package.
• A special meeting will need to occur to make a choice as to which firm will be selected.
• The meeting date will be 10/18/07 at 6:30 pm
• The agreement must still be signed by the BOS. This will be taken care of by DM on Friday 10/12/07 when the package is delivered to the Selectmen’s Office.

2.) Wilber School

• General discussion as to the status of the project.
• DM stated that he has had conversation with J. Korb (developer) regarding finalization of documents needed for the credits and financing.
• Progress appears to moving in a positive direction.

3.) Sharon Commons

• General discussion of the project.
• DM stated that he had received a copy of the project documents to review that PAL has put together regarding the site.
• DM will contact Dianne Doucette to set up a meeting time to walk the site.
• SS raised the question regarding “Scenic Road” status. Has the Planning Board signed off on this issue?

4.) 354 Old Post Road

• This is a currently inventoried property.
• Recently there was a fire on the 2^nd floor which caused significant damage.
• The fait of this property is in question.
• DM stated that the owners were going to contact the Historical Commission to discuss their plans.
• SS mentioned that a number of months ago, she had been contacted by the owners who at the time were looking to find ways to possibly sell or restore the building.

5.) Saphire Manor

• DM stated that he had spoken to Mrs. Saphire regarding a date to present the 2007 Award.
• Possibly November? Still up in the air.

6.) CPC Meeting

• On 10/15/07 in the Clerks office there will be a meeting to discuss the preservation of documents.
